Privacy policy
1. Who processes your data
- Controller
- KIKONEURO, S.L.P.
Tax ID (NIF) B86268166 - Address
- Calle Mistral 2, vivienda 65, 28223 Pozuelo de Alarcón (Madrid)
- Contact
- Through the contact form on this site.
2. What data is collected
Only what you type into one of the forms on this site:
- Contact form: name, email address, phone number if you choose to give it, the reason you select and the text of your message.
- Resources form: name, email address, your professional role (resident, neurosurgeon, other specialty or other) and whether you have agreed to receive emails about training.
- Course page form: name, email address, phone number, whether you have agreed to receive emails about the doctor's courses, and where you reached the course page from (this website or one of the doctor's social media profiles).
- Symposium form: name, email address, the language of the page, whether you have agreed to receive emails about the doctor's courses, and where you reached the symposium page from.
If you receive emails from us, whether you open them and which links you click is also recorded. This is explained in section 5.
The website itself uses no cookies, no analytics and no measurement or advertising tools. If you don't fill in a form, no data about you is kept.
3. What it is used for, and on what legal basis
- Contact: to read your message and reply to it. Nothing else. This data is not used to send you marketing emails.
- Resources: to email you the link to the resources.
- Course registration: to know how people who register heard about the course. This form sends no email. Registration itself then takes place on the course technical secretariat's form, which has its own privacy policy, and what you type there does not reach this website.
- Symposium registration: to confirm your registration, to email you the link to join in the language of the page you registered from, and to know how you heard about the symposium.
- Training emails: only if you tick the box that allows it, which is separate and optional. You will receive emails about neurosurgical training and the doctor's courses and, once the course has taken place, you will keep receiving emails with training material. If you don't tick it, you only get what you asked for: the resources, or the symposium confirmation and link.
The legal basis depends on each use:
- Replying to your message, sending you the resources and the symposium link: you ask for it, and your data is used to give you what you asked for (Article 6(1)(b) of the General Data Protection Regulation).
- Emails about training and the course: your consent, which you give by ticking the optional box (Article 6(1)(a)). You can withdraw it at any time; this does not affect emails already sent.
- Knowing how people hear about the course or the symposium: the doctor's legitimate interest in knowing which channels bring in students and attendees (Article 6(1)(f)). You can object at any time, as explained in section 9.
- Open and click tracking: it is tied to each of those emails and has the same basis. It ends when they stop being sent.
Your data is not passed on to third parties for advertising purposes.
4. If your message includes health data
The contact form lets you write freely, and you may mention your diagnosis. Health data is a specially protected category: if you include it, you are providing it openly and voluntarily, and it is used only to direct your enquiry.
Please don't attach or copy full medical reports through this form. It is enough to say what you have been diagnosed with and since when. Medical records are provided later, through the channel you will be given.
5. Email tracking
Emails sent from the email platform, including the one that delivers the resources, contain an invisible image and links that show whether the email has been opened, which links were clicked, and when.
This is used to learn which content interests you and to be able to adjust what is sent, or stop sending it to people who don't open the emails. It is not used for anything outside these emails.
You can prevent open tracking by turning off automatic image loading in your email app. Unsubscribing stops the emails and, with them, any tracking.
6. How long it is kept
Contact form messages are kept while your request is being handled and then for as long as any liability could arise from it. After that, they are deleted.
Resources form data, and email tracking data, are kept on the email platform until you ask for them to be deleted. Unsubscribing stops the emails. If you also want your data deleted, you can ask through the contact form, like any of the rights in section 9.
Data from the course page form is kept until three months after the course edition it refers to has taken place, and is then deleted. If you ticked the email box, it is kept like resources form data.
Data from the symposium form is kept until three months after the symposium has taken place, and is then deleted. If you ticked the email box, it is kept like resources form data.
7. Who else can see it
Contact messages reach the practice team by email. No data is passed on to anyone else, unless required by law.
The following providers are involved in making this work. They act as processors and only handle the data on behalf of the controller:
- The service that hosts this site, through which all forms pass.
- The email service that carries and stores contact form messages.
- GoHighLevel, a LeadConnector service: the email platform where data from the resources form, the course page form and the symposium form is stored and from which emails are sent and their opens measured. The platform's sending providers, such as Mailgun, may be involved in delivering those emails.
These providers may process data outside the European Economic Area, in particular in the United States, with the safeguards required by the General Data Protection Regulation (the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission's standard contractual clauses). If you want to know which one applies in each case, you can ask through the contact form.
8. How to unsubscribe
Every email has an unsubscribe link at the bottom. One click and you stop receiving emails. You can also ask through the contact form.
9. Your rights
You can ask for access to your data, its correction or deletion, restriction of or objection to its processing, and its portability. You can also withdraw at any time the consent you gave to receive emails about training.
- To do so, write through the contact form, saying which right you want to exercise.
- If you believe your request has not been properly handled, you can complain to the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD), www.aepd.es.
10. Cookies
This site sets no first-party or third-party cookies, nor any other device that stores or retrieves data on your computer.
The open and click tracking in section 5 happens in the emails, not on this website.
11. Changes
If the site starts collecting any further data, this text is updated before that happens and the revision date changes.
